INSPIRE, the INtegrated reSPIratory REsearch collaborative, is the UK’s research network for early career doctors and allied health professionals in respiratory medicine. 

INSPIRE aim to facilitate a collaborative approach to performing clinical research projects and high-quality audits at regional and national scale for the benefit of patients with respiratory disease. 

RESP webinars 

In collaboration with the British Thoracic Society and Respiratory Futures, INSPIRE present the Respiratory Expert Speaker and Patient webinars. 
The RESP webinars will be a series of monthly evening sessions with a national expert and experienced patient giving an update on a respiratory topic.

INSPIRE studies 2022 

INSPIRE’s opening studies were chosen at the Sandpit event on 10th February: 
The two studies chosen were: 
 
ERUPT retrospective study of PE thrombolysis 
 
LISP prospective study of secondary pneumothorax 

INSPIRE studies 2023 

At our 2023 sandpit event, three studies were presented: 
PLUMB (Pneumothorax after lung biopsy: understanding the management basis) 
 
INDEX (Interstitial Lung Disease Exacerbation) 
 
CLAMP (Characterising leak of air in medical pneumothorax)
